The New SSLS Website
Solid State Lighting Services is finally getting around to updating its website. We’ve been in business since 2008, and we’d had the original site ever since. The new site gives a good overview of the kind of work we’ve been doing over the last 18 years, as we’ve participated in the progression of LED technology — from basic electronic indicators to energy-saving, cost-effective general illumination.
Along the way, we’ve learned a great deal about how light affects humans, animals, and plants — basically all living things. LED technology now gives us the tools to optimize lighting to maximize the desirable effects and minimize the negative ones, and that’s a lot of what SSLS has focused on recently. We still work on the underlying technology, too, which has plenty of room left for improvement and better understanding.
